Nashville, TN (October 15, 2025) — Hachette Nashville/ Worthy Publishing announces the October 2026 release of RETURN TO THE SHACK: A Journey Into Redemption the highly anticipated sequel to the #1 New York Times bestseller and the 2017 major motion picture THE SHACK.

Marking the twentieth anniversary of the global phenomenon THE SHACK, Wm. Paul Young returns to the story that has been translated into 41 languages and has touched millions worldwide—with a long-awaited sequel to one of the most beloved and widely read books of the 21st century.

“Over the past two decades, THE SHACK has reached more than 20 million readers around the world, making them feel known and more deeply connected,” says Vice President and Publisher of Hachette Nashville, Daisy Hutton. “This is a tough act for any writer to follow, but in a world that sorely needs opportunities to remember our shared humanity, Paul Young has created a book that is truly worthy of the title RETURN TO THE SHACK.”

Readers of THE SHACK will reencounter beloved characters from the original book, including Mackenzie Phillips and his wife Nan, as they continue to confront the aftermath of the brutal death of their daughter.  The story also stands on its own, inviting new readers into the world that has brought encouragement and wisdom to so many.

RETURN TO THE SHACK is a story of pain, faith, and the relentless possibility of hope.
